Congrats, Kishore! I also recently passed the 10 year mark and it's overwhelming to think about sticking to this past time for so long...where it's been and where to take it!!

With the new Office (the 2007) design, look & feel, Microsoft have made a giant leap. True that it takes time to get use to the new ribbon and to get around quickly.. But once you are familiar with it, you rock!

We do a lot of researches on the web, and using Excel macros,
we have improved our research speed in 30%. That huge!!

Using OneNote have improved our research information control (nothing get lost now) and with the sharing files abilities, now everyone can contribute to the project.

So to summary it all, we are more then happy with the tools that comes in the Office 2007.
We looking forward to the new one... ;)

With the SP2 support for open source files,
our CRM improved since we don’t have to “fight”
with our clients anymore :)

The 2007 was a great investment with benefits to us

Thank you for the post.

i too had one such experiance. i had to move to austin because of my job. i hired airport shuttle from airport to my new apartment. i had 2 heavy suitcases and my apartment was on 3rd floor. all through my way to apartment i was thinking on how to carry them to 3rd floor as drivers donot do it for us, in US. But, driver of my shuttle was very kind and carried both my suitcases to the top floor though he was old and was not able to walk properly. such incidents always remain with us. this incident happend 3 yrs back and i have narrated it to many till today and shall do so when ever i will think of kindness. May God always bless him and his loved ones.

One angle of LEMON Leadership is that if focuses on TYPES of leaders, not styles. Type has to do with your wiring, your DNA, your core identity... and this can be combined with any style. So, you can be an introverted Networker, for example, or an abstract Manager. The book unpacks this.

I think that its accepted that the people who have made a real difference in the world havent been the contented people. Theyv'e always looked beyond their own life and committed to a cause. But also i think most on them will have had city sized ego's. It's a double edged knife for sure.

Kishore, Thanks for posting this.
In a few words, packs a big punch!
It reminds me of a mail I sent you a few years ago about having some challenges in my job and why I was there.. Your advice was helpful and also through that job, I learned it was not just the situation that stressed me out- but the fact my boss was asking me to be inauthentic when I wanted to be authentic and the real me....

So what are your strengthsfinder strengths?

I see your SWOT lists testings as a self-recognized strength.

I'm curious of your opinion on how you perceive that testing skill might correlate to your strengthsfinder strengths.

Since I'm currently tasked with leading a team of non-techies (people-persons) through how to test software (a former career of mine for 3 years) and I'm trying to see the software testing -vs- strengthsfinders intersect.

Mine are Maximizer, Command, Ideation, Learner, Analytical (Relator and Individualization also, since I've taken both 1.0 and 2.0)

Looking forward to your insights.
